The Easiest Dinakdakan Recipe Using Alternative Ingredients (Grilled Spicy Pork Salad)

Dinakdakan. An Ilocano pork dish that's originally made up of grilled pig parts such as the face, liver and brain. It's somewhat similar to Sisig, however the meat in Dinakdakan is cut into thin strips, while the latter is finely chopped, further grilled after all the ingredients are combined.

It is commonly served as a appetizer for the beer drinkers but it is equally good as viand as well.

I am not yet really daring when in comes to ingredients, so this recipe features an alternative which is Pork Liempo. This recipe may not be the authentic version, but I guarantee that it will taste closely similar to the original.

**Authentic Dinakdakan recipe calls for pigs face instead of the pork liempo, and pig's brain instead of mayonnaise. Feel free to use whatever ingredient is available to you.

Rice Stuffed Tomatoes

This recipe is inspired by my friend's #PaImpressToHusband dishes -- wherein she gets inspirations from the recipes on the internet and recreates it with the ingredients that is readily available in her home. I loved how she was able to experiment on basic dishes and somehow managed to transform it to an interesting, restaurant-style meal! Ang swerte ni husband sayo, Jeza!

I loved the idea and decided to do it for my little brother as well.

For starters, I decided to make Rice Stuffed Tomatoes!
It's so simple and it tastes great! One way to convince the brother in eating his veggies too! Haha!

I've listed the ingredients below, but you can use any left overs you have on the fridge. Feel free to experiment, play around with it and make it your own! This is basically just fried rice stuffed in tomatoes, after all. So, you can't really mess this one up. You can choose whichever ingredient you want!

Ooh! Crispy bacon bits sounds good! Poached eggs too! How about more veggies?
Try it for your husband, brother or anyone you want to share a meal with and let me know how it goes! :)

About this Recipe:

Thinking that it was a cold Saturday morning and I'm feeling a little lazy, I decided to ignore her. Hah! But after a few discussion and squabbles, I gave in to her request and we decided to cook Pancit Bihon Guisado -- we then headed out to buy some of the ingredients, and here's what we got:

Oh! by the way, this is my first time to cook Pancit!
